Qwirkle was announced as the 2011 Spiele Des Jarhres award winner. This game is as simple as matching colors and shapes, but also requires tactical maneuvers and well-planned strategy. Qwirkle cosists of 108 wooden tiles with six shapes in six colors. Score points by building lines that share a common attribute, either shape or color. You score 1 point for each tile in your line and tiles are played crossword fashion, so you can score points in both rows and columns. Qwirkle is for 2-4 players, ages 6 and up.
